Adopt the Cat of Your Dreams
At Good Mews we currently have over 80 residents (cats and kittens) who are
anxiously waiting to be adopted into caring homes. If you are interested in
adopting one of our residents, you may visit the shelter during our regular
adoption hours (Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). You may also schedule
a personal appointment with one of our adoption counselors that better suits

Cherokee Humane Society – (SPECIAL VOLUNTEERS
NEEDED!)
Please donate your time to help our SNAP (Spay/Neuter
Assistance Program). Be a part of the solution and help
prevent more animals from ending up homeless and fighting for their lives. Our
low-cost canine spay/neuter clinics need help with set-up, animal recovery
after surgery and break down when clinic is finished. Also, needed are
volunteers to help with CatSnip program. You can make a difference! For

Volunteers are needed to help plant trees at the various sites for this upcoming season. Planting
will begin at 9 a.m., with check in and refreshments at 8:30 a.m. A tree
planting demonstration will be given to volunteers before they get started.

Habitat For Humanity
Through the work of
Habitat, thousands of low-income families have found new hope in the form of
affordable housing. Churches have risen to the challenge of practical
discipleship and communities have improved as citizens join together to
successfully tackle a significant social problem -- decent housing for
all. HABITAT-ATLANTA URBAN SUPPORT seeks to promote awareness of Habitat's
housing efforts and foster civic responsibility through social interaction
among young adults. Meets first Tues each month, 7:30pm, at Manuel's Tavern.

Meals On Wheels
Over 400 volunteers deliver meals to the homebound elderly.
Only a few hours a month is required. You can volunteer for as much time as you
desire, from 1 day each week or 1day each month or more! This is an ideal
opportunity for home school groups, civic organizations, businesses, and
